I am writing this article about Drupal as a reminder for myself.
The topic will be about building this website. This is not an engineering article or tutorial on programming or source code, but an article from the perspective of an individual with no programming experience building a personal website with Drupal.
Continuing from last time, this article will discuss changes to the site design. This time, we will explain the new features we have added, such as language switching on each page, anchors, global navigation, and HERO content.
Since the site was first launched, small changes to the design had been made, but they had not gone beyond the default settings. This time, we have revamped the design using Bootstrap 5. We are a little conscious of the readability of the articles, the navigation lines within the site and the structure of the pages that we can think of at the moment.
I have dealt with the warning that appeared when I fixed the problem with the automatic_updates module that appeared in the last Drupal-CMS update. By removing drupal_cms_starter from the dependencies, I also ended up removing the modules and themes that are installed with Drupal-CMS from the start, and the dependency was broken, so it took quite a while to fix.
I updated to the official version of Drupal-CMS 1.0 after not touching the pre-release installation of Drupal-CMS for a while, but I had an error updating the Automatic Update module, which I will repair.
This article summarises my impressions of the official release of Drupal-CMS on 15 January 2025, which is an excellent CMS developed based on a new concept that has the potential to lower the barriers to Drupal and increase the number of users. The environment is not all ready as it has just been released, but we expect that the environment will be ready in the future and will promote the spread of Drupal.
Writing articles and checking and proofreading documents for long periods of time can be tiring for the eyes. My eyes were getting very tired, so I thought about how I could reduce the strain and tried changing the colour scheme of the site. By changing from a cool colour scheme to a warm colour scheme, I was able to improve the strain on my eyes.
Drupal 10 was updated from 3x to 4x, so I updated it straight away, but this time I struggled with various things.
This is an article about Civic Theme, which sparked my interest in Drupal and led me to build and publish a website.
After publishing on AWS, I haven't had the chance to use Drupal on my local Mac environment, but I'm going to try it out again after a long time.
