En Creation

I am writing this article about Drupal as a reminder for myself.

The topic will be about building this website. This is not an engineering article or tutorial on programming or source code, but an article from the perspective of an individual with no programming experience building a personal website with Drupal.

Drupal website creation

We will revisit how to actually build a website using each of the Drupal features summarised in the articles so far.

Block Layout

This section explains the block layout, which allows you to freely arrange the navigation menu, side menu footer, etc. You can also use this block layout to arrange related articles created using the view function explained in the previous section.

Views-2 Block

In the previous section, we looked at an example of creating a category list page using the Views function, but this time we will create a block and display a related articles block within an article.

Views-1 Page

This section summarises the functionality of the view, which allows you to list the pages you have created and place them freely on your site.

Taxonomy-2

The previous section gave an overview of taxonomies in Drupal, and now we will go on to explain how they are used in practice, with examples from our website.

Taxonomy-1

This article explains taxonomy, which allows you to sort articles and set display areas as you wish. Drupal's taxonomy function is not limited to a specific purpose. This means that it is more flexible than categories and tags, which are generally used for sorting pages.

Short break

We have been working on making the site multilingual, and we have been creating English pages, so we haven't been able to write any new articles. This time, because of this situation, we will take a short break and briefly summarise the current state of the site and the content we are working on.

Basics of creating page.

I've been writing a series of articles on the basic concepts of Drupal that are necessary for creating pages, but since it's become a lot of articles and it's hard to understand, I'm going to organise them.

Content and Structure.

Drupal does not allow you to freely configure pages unless you set the site structure to the desired form in the Content menu for creating pages and in the Site Construction menu, otherwise you cannot get out of the default page structure. This section summarises this.

Drupal > Structure.

We understood in the previous section that content is the menu for creating pages, but the menu for configuring settings related to page structure and site structure is the menu for site construction, which is explained in this section.

Welcome

I am currently trying my hand at Drupal after discovering the appeal of CMS through WordPress.

This is a blog written by a beginner who is learning Drupal.

Drupal is a CMS that requires an understanding of structured rules. As a result, it offers a high degree of configuration flexibility, but this also means that it has a steep learning curve for beginners. However, once you become familiar with it, it allows for more flexible system construction than other CMSs.

With its robust security and excellent scalability, this CMS is ideal for building large-scale websites. As a result, it is more commonly used by public institutions and corporations than by individuals, and development is often carried out by vendors. However, it is also an excellent CMS that offers high availability for individual use.
