CloudFront and Lightsail
Since this is a Jamstack setup that delivers static files via a CDN, I’ve summarized the key components of the architecture: CloudFront and Lightsail, where the static files are hosted. For ease of management, I’ve deliberately chosen Lightsail as the origin instead of S3.
Drupal Tome
The module I'm introducing this time, 『Tome』, is what triggered the shift from running Drupal on the web — handling everything from building to publishing there — to the current setup: keeping Drupal local and publishing it as HTML, or what I call going 『Jamstack』. Tome is a module that converts a Drupal-built website into HTML, structure included.
Drupal with Jamstack
I migrated from Lightsail and updated to Drupal 11.4.x. With this migration, I moved Drupal off the web server and onto my Mac, generating static files locally and publishing the site through a CDN — a shift to what's known as Jamstack.
About.
The name 'Interest' reflects the Japanese word kyōmi — curiosity, fascination with the world. I'm now in my fifties, heading toward sixty, and the name carries a quiet reminder to myself: don't lose that sense of curiosity as you grow older.
I also run a site called Hooked-on, built on WordPress. It covers life in my fifties, with fashion at the center — written from the perspective of someone living it.
Rebuilding Drupal CMS
An update to the provisionally installed Drupal CMS ran into problems, so it was removed and reinstalled from scratch. With DDEV handling the environment, the entire process — from deletion to reinstall — went smoothly.

Drupal CMS — Resolving Warnings
While working on the warnings that appeared when fixing the Automatic Updates module issue from the previous article, removing drupal_cms_starter from the dependency tree inadvertently took out the modules and themes bundled with Drupal CMS by default — breaking dependencies and making the recovery process unexpectedly involved.
Automatic Update Error
After leaving the Drupal CMS pre-release installation untouched for a while, I updated to the official Drupal CMS 1.0 — but the Automatic Updates module threw an error during the update, so this article covers the fix.
Drupal-CMS
A first look at Drupal CMS, officially released on January 15, 2025. It's an excellent CMS built on a new concept that lowers the barrier to entry and has the potential to grow Drupal's user base. The ecosystem isn't fully in place yet given how recently it launched, but I'm hoping that as it matures it will push Drupal's adoption further.
